Area Board VI works to protect the rights of people with developmental disabilities and their families, who live in Amador, Calaveras, San Joaquin, Stanislaus, and Tuolumne counties.
At the Area Meeting of Self Advocates in Modesto August 5th, 2011- The Self Advocacy Council 6 members (r-l) Kevan Jantzen and Eric Ybarra presented Mr. Dick Jacobs with a Certificate of Appreciation for his years of support to the self advocacy movement!
Mr. Jacobs is retiring after 25 years as the Executive Director of Valley Mountain Regional Center in September.
Over 300 self advocates from Amador, Calaveras, San Joaquin, Stanislaus and Tuolumne Counties
were at the area meeting to give Dick an appreciative send off!!
